Game Play Support

Volunteers Needed: 8 to 12
Age Requirement: 18 and older
Time Commitment: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Players call their own falls in the games leading up to the championship. The tournament officials will provide a court monitor on each court to oversee the overall game play to ensure tournament rules are being followed and to provide a "final decision" calls on questionable fouls. Court monitors must be knowledgeable in basketball, have a calm demeanor, and be willing and able to deal with conflict. There are 8 half courts

Player Assistance

Volunteers Needed: 4 to 6
Age Requirement: 16 and older
Time Commitment: 7:00 AM to Noon on Saturday, March 26th.

There will be over 150 players that will need help understanding the brackets, times, court locations, and other logistics. In addition, each player will need to be provided with a "Swag Bag". Volunteers should be comfortable with speaking to strangers and not be easily frazzled or frustrated. Basic computer skills are important as volunteers will be checking players into the registration system. The goal of these volunteers is to make players (and their parents/guardians) feel good about the tournament experience.

Sponsor Support

Volunteers Needed: 4 to 6
Age Requirement: 18 and older
Time Commitment: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 26th.

Our Platinum, Gold, and Silver level sponsors have paid for VIP courtside seats, to have their banners displayed in prominent locations in the gym during the championship game, and to have a picture taken with the championship teams holding their banner. Sponsor Support volunteers are responsible for ensuring the sponsors are getting what they paid for by ensuring each of the promised services are delivered. Sponsor Support volunteers should be customer-centric, service-oriented, and enjoy making the sponsor feel like they are the center of the universe for at least one night.

Tournament Preparation

Volunteers Needed: 10 to 12
Age Requirement: 12 and older
Time Commitment: 4 hours on the evening of Friday, March 25th.

There is a lot to setup prior to the event including sponsor banners, backboard wraps, trashcans, signs, and court tables in two separate locations in Maricopa. With help from five volunteers in each location the workload will be much easier. There is no special talent or skill required to help setup, but having a ladder and some experience with basic hand tools would be a plus.

Tournament Tear-down

Volunteers Needed: 10 to 12
Age Requirement: 12 and older
Time Commitment: 2 hours after the completion of the tournament.

After a full day of fun and excitement the last thing anyone wants to have to do is tear-down and clean-up. But all great tournaments must come to an end and that end brings tear-down and clean-up chores to restore the courts, fields, and facilities back to their original state or better. No special talents or experience required to be on the Tournament Tear-down team. Just a willing heart and strong back.

Vendor Support

Volunteers Needed: 4 to 6
Age Requirement: 18 and older
Time Commitment: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, March 26th.

Vendors are financial contributors and many are participating in the tournament to increase their exposure in the community and/or make a profit from players, patrons, and fans attending the tournament. They can't afford to be distracted by setup issues, operational issues, or tear-down problems. The Vendor Support volunteers are responsible for catering to the needs of the vendors in both court locations throughout the duration of the tournament.
