Registration Instructions

Teams and players can now register online for Maricopa March Madness. Teams are created when one player or the parent/guardian of a player creates a new user account, registers as the Head Coach of the team, creates a team name, and obtains a Team Code. The coach distributes the Team Code to each player on the team. Players create a new user account and use the Team Code provided by the Head Coach to associate themselves with their team. Each players pays the $20 registration fee during the player registration process. Take a moment to review the instructions below to streamline your registration experience.

Team Registration Process
Before players can register on a team the team needs to be created in the registration system. Teams are created when one of the players or the parent/guardian of a player creates a new user account and chooses to volunteer as a Head Coach. A Head Coach is able to create a team name and generate a Team Code to distribute to players on the team. Follow the instructions below to get started.

  1. Click the button labeled "Register" near the upper right corner of any page on the website.
  2. Complete all of the required fields under the "Primary Parent / Guardian Information" form and click "Continue".
  3. When prompted to choose "Which best describes you?" select "I am a parent or guardian registering a participant" and click "Continue". Choose this option even if you are over 18 and are registering an adult team.
  4. Click the button labeled "+ Select" next to the program named "Maricopa March Madness" and click "View Roles".
  5. Click the button labeled "Sign Up" for the division your team will be playing and click "Continue".
  6. When prompted with "Are you sure you want to volunteer for the position of Head Coach?" click "Yes".
  7. When prompted with "Who would you like to select for the following role(s)?" click on the icon above your name and click "Continue".
  8. Enter your Date of Birth and a Team Name in the "Additional Volunteer Information" form and click "Continue".
  9. Enter the contact email address for each player on the team in "To:" field and click "Send Invite". Be sure to separate each address with a semicolon.
  10. After clicking "Send Invite" a dialog box will appear that will indicate the number of invites sent. Click "OK" to close it.

A message is delivered to each email address entered into the "To:" field. The email message contains a button labeled "Accept Invite" that will direct the player to the registration website. Each player will be asked to enter the Team Code included in their invitation email. Entering the Team Code will associate the player with your team once they complete player registration.

Each team is provided with a team website that is accessed from Tournament > Team Directory. Teams can post team information, pictures, and even have online discussions. The Head Coach has permission to customize the images and update the content by using the gear icon in the upper right corner of the website.


Player Registration Process
Players cannot register until a team is created by the Head Coach (see Team Registration Process) and the Team Code is distributed to the players. Team Codes can be distributed manually by the Head Coach or in an automated email with an "Accept Invite" link.

Players that received an email invitation from their Head Coach containing an "Accept Invite" link can click on the link and follow these steps to complete the registration process.

  1. Click the link that reads "Don't have an account? Register Now!"
  2. Complete all of the required fields in the "Add New Participant" form and click "Continue".
  3. Read the Waiver and select "Yes" to accept and click "Continue".
  4. Your Team Code should already be entered.
  5. Click the button labeled "Continue".
  6. Review the information in the form labeled "Registration Summary" and click "Continue".
  7. Enter Payment information and press "Continue".
  8. Confirm your order and registration information by clicking "Submit Order".

I have the Team Code, but no email invitation
Players that were provided with a Team Code but didn't receive the email invitation with the link labeled "Accept Invite" should follow these instructions to create a user account and register with their team.

  1. Click the button labeled "Register" near the upper right corner of any page on the website.
  2. Complete all of the required fields under the "Primary Parent / Guardian Information" form and click "Continue".
  3. When prompted with "Which best describes you?" choose "I am registering myself in an activity" and click "Continue".
  4. Complete all of the required fields on the "Add New Participant" form and click "Continue".
  5. Click the button labeled "+ Register" next to your team's division and click "Continue".
  6. Read the Waiver and select "Yes" to accept and click "Continue".
  7. Review the information in the form labeled "Registration Summary" and click "Continue".
  8. Enter Payment information and press "Continue".
  9. Confirm your order and registration information by clicking "Submit Order".

User Accounts vs Registered Player
Anyone can create a user account on Maricopa March Madness. Creating a user account is not the same as registering as a player on a team. Here are some of the differences between creating a user account and registering as a player on a team.

If you aren't sure if you have registered as a player you can confirm by following these steps:

1. Sign-in using the "Login" button at the top right of any page on the website.
2. Click the button labeled "My Account" at the top right of any page on the website.
3. If you are a registered player your name will be listed under "Participants".
4. Directly below your name should be the name of the team with whom you are registered.

If your account is not listed under "Participants" you can register directly from the "My Account" section of your user account settings by clicking the button labeled "Programs Available" and proceeding with the Player Registration Process.
